No cookies, no tracking
The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Fonts and images are served from this website itself.
Server logs
Like every website, the server and its content delivery network (Cloudflare) process technical data when a page is requested: IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser type and referring page. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure (legitimate interest, UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Cloudflare's own privacy policy applies to its processing: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Videos
Some pages show YouTube videos. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you click play; after that, YouTube (Google) processes your data under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Quizzes
Quiz answers are checked in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to or stored by the site.
Links to other websites
Articles link to other websites. Once you follow a link, that website's own privacy policy applies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to its processing. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
E-mails
If you e-mail the site, your address and your message are used only to reply to you. They are not sold, shared with third parties for marketing or added to any mailing list.
Children
The site does not ask anyone, including children, for personal data. There are no accounts, comments or forms to fill in.
Changes to this notice
If the way the site handles personal data changes, this notice will be updated and the date at the top of the page will change with it.
